Honors Scholarship Applications for the 2024-25 Academic Year will open Oct 1, 2023
Westminster Schools of Augusta's Honors Scholarships provide outstanding young people with the opportunity to attend school at Westminster with generous scholarship assistance. The Honors Scholarship is not dependent on academic achievement alone but looks for students of strong character, who demonstrate leadership potential and a willing heart to serve others. These qualifications cannot be easily distinguished in written applications and test scores, so a Westminster Experience Day with individual interviews is part of the application process.
The Honors Scholarship, which covers 50 percent of tuition, has traditionally been awarded to rising 9th-grade students. For the second year, the Honors Scholarship will be open to both rising 6th and 9th grade students for the 2024-25 academic year, with multiple scholarships available. Westminster's Honors Scholarship is renewable each year for recipients who maintain at least an 85 academic average and continue to demonstrate the qualities of an Honors Scholar.
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, a student must:
- Be a new student to Westminster.
- Be currently enrolled in fifth or eighth grade.
- Be nominated by an adult outside the student’s family (i.e., a current or former teacher, school principal or guidance counselor, pastor, family friend, or Westminster alumnus/a).
- Submit a complete application for admission.
- Complete the Westminster Campus Experience Day.
