Honors Scholarship Applications for the 2023-24 Academic Year Have Closed
Westminster Schools of Augusta's Honors Scholarships provide outstanding young people with the opportunity to attend school at Westminster with generous scholarship assistance at a deeply discounted rate. The Honors Scholarship is not dependent on academic achievement alone. Westminster also looks for students of strong character, who demonstrate leadership potential and a willing heart to serve others. These qualifications cannot be easily distinguished in written applications and test scores, so a Westminster Campus Experience Day with group interviews is part of the application process.
The Honors Scholarship, which covers 50 percent of tuition, has traditionally been awarded to rising 9th grade students. For the first time, the Honors Scholarship will be open to both rising 6th and 9th grade students for the 2023-34 academic year, and multiple scholarships are available. Westminster's Honors Scholarship is renewable each year for recipients who maintain at least an 85 academic average and continue to demonstrate the qualities of an Honors Scholar.
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, a student must:
- be a new student to Westminster.
- be currently enrolled in fifth or eighth grade.
- be nominated by an adult outside the student’s family (i.e., a current or former teacher, school principal or guidance counselor, pastor, family friend, or Westminster alumnus/a).
- submit a complete application for admission.
- complete the Westminster Campus Experience Day.
