The Westminster Wildcats are heading back to the GIAA 8-man state championship for a highly anticipated rematch against Sherwood Christian Academy. After last year’s narrow loss, the Wildcats return with a surging sophomore quarterback, a dominant defense led by senior linebacker Porter Grinalds, and a renewed drive for redemption. Coach Murphey credits strong leadership, discipline, and gratitude for carrying the team back to the title stage. Kickoff is Thursday at 5 p.m. in Macon.

Despite a string of injuries, the team continues to show resilience, coming together and pushing forward with determination. Key players like Dylan Bui, Wells Pope, and Gabe Lambert have stepped up in significant ways, making crucial adjustments on both offense and defense to keep the team competitive. These athletes have taken on new roles and responsibilities, helping the Wildcats make progress through a difficult season.
