It is our hope that every family that walks through Westminster's doors immediately feels at home! We want to create a comfortable space for families to share their stories, family values, goals for their children's education, and desire for how God will shape their lives at Westminster. At the end of a tour, we want them to be blown away by the goodness of God in this place, and to run towards becoming a part of our family!
Jill Egan, Director of Enrollment Management
Westminster seeks to admit students who have the potential and desire to engage in a challenging academic environment and to make positive contributions to the school and global community. Westminster’s admission decisions are guided by its commitment to prepare each student for the opportunities of a four-year college or university.
Though applicants are not required to subscribe to a statement of faith, nor accept any particular religious doctrine, they must respect the school's Christian educational philosophy and participate in required Bible classes and chapel.
Admissions decisions are based on several factors: academic readiness or achievement, social and behavioral maturity, motivation and a cooperative spirit, mission alignment. These factors are measured through a careful review of admissions tests and evaluations, previous school records, teacher recommendations, and a family interview. Westminster’s Admissions Office may also check additional information in its effort to learn more about each applicant.
The steps for applying to Westminster are as follows:
- touring our campus
- completing an online application to include: submitting teacher recommendation form(s), releasing school transcripts, shadowing for a day if recommended
- admissions testing
- family interview
