Early Childhood (K-1) Targeted Support

Early Childhood Target Support is appropriate for students who have weaknesses in reading and/or math. These students consistently have difficulty meeting benchmarks, and supporting data is available. Support for these students may be provided in a variety of ways, but could include in-class support during initial instruction or independent work timer remediation in small groups or one-to-one sessions during extracurriculars, science, social studies, or after school. This level of support includes 3 sessions weekly and an accommodations contract at no additional fee. 

Cost: $1050 per year ($105 per month)

Early Childhood (K-1) Reading Support

Early Childhood Reading Support is appropriate for students with reading deficits, including phonemic awareness or Dyslexia. Students with language and reading delays have difficulty meeting reading benchmarks and need a specialized approach to decoding and phonics. Support for these students involves the use of an individualized, structured, multisensory plan to teach reading and vocabulary skills. This level of support includes 3 sessions weekly and an accommodations contract at no additional fee. Reading support is solely focused on addressing deficits in basic reading and reading comprehension skills and does not address any other academic needs. 

Cost: $2625 per year ($262.50 per month)

Lower School Accommodations Contract

In grades K-1, the Academic Support team will meet to discuss classroom and testing accommodations that are appropriate based on individual student needs. Beginning in grade 2, students are required to have a current psychoeducational evaluation documenting diagnosed learning needs. This evaluation must be updated every 3-5 years. Accommodations contracts are reviewed annually and do not require additional support plans. Academic Coaches will assist with the scheduling and implementation of accommodations. 

Cost: $525 per year ($52.50 per month)

Upper Elementary (Grades 2-5) Targeted Support

Upper Elementary Targeted Support requires a current psychoeducational evaluation that indicates diagnosed needs in math, ELA, and/or executive functioning. These students have the ability to meet educational standards, but require additional support or adjustments to the presentation of information based on individual learning styles. Students may receive support in the classroom during initial instruction and/or independent work time. These students may also receive remediation outside of the classroom in small group or one-to-one sessions. For students in grades 4-5, a heavy emphasis will be placed on the academic skills needed for success in middle school. This level of support may include 3 sessions weekly or 5 sessions weekly, along with an accommodations contract. 

Cost (3 sessions weekly): $2650 per year ($265 per month)
Cost (5 sessions weekly): $3000 per year ($300 per month)

Upper Elementary  (Grades 2-5) Reading Support

Upper Elementary  Reading Support requires a current psychoeducational evaluation that indicates diagnosed reading deficits, such as a Specific Learning Disorder or Dyslexia. Support for these students involves the use of an individualized, structured, multisensory approach to first develop the foundational building blocks of reading and then begin to focus on strategies to improve reading comprehension. This level of support includes 3 sessions weekly and an accommodations contract at no additional fee. Reading support is solely focused on addressing deficits in basic reading and reading comprehension skills and does not address any other academic needs. 

 Cost: $2700 per year ($270 per month)

Grades 6-12 Academic Elective

The Academic Elective Class requires a current psychoeducational evaluation that indicates diagnosed needs in math, ELA, and/or executive functioning. This is a graded class, and counts toward elective credit for grades 9-12. In grades 6-8, the Order Out of Chaos Academic Planner is required and students must bring it to class daily. In grades 9-12, students will complete a daily monitoring sheet provided by the teacher. The focus of Academic Elective is to teach time management, organization, and study skills. In addition, students will also be taught strategies to improve executive functioning skills (working memory, flexible thinking, self-control, etc.) The expectation is for students to monitor assignments, assessments, and grades, create action plans, and utilize effective study strategies based on individual academic strengths and weaknesses. Remediation and homework help will be provided as time allows; however, this will only occur after the executive functioning skills have been addressed. Improvement in these skills benefits students across the curriculum, and as such, are the primary focus of the class. Enrollment in the Academic Elective includes an accommodations contract at no additional cost. 

Cost (2-3 sessions weekly): $1375 per year ($137.50 per month) 
Cost (5 sessions weekly): $2750 per year ($275 per month)

Grades 6-12 Accommodations Contract

Accommodations contracts require a current psychoeducational evaluation documenting diagnosed learning needs and must be updated every 3-5 years. Accommodations contracts will be reviewed annually and do not require an additional support plan. The Director of Academic Support will apply for accommodations on College Board and ACT assessments on behalf of the student and the Testing Coordinator will assist in the scheduling and implementation of accommodations on classroom-based assessments. 

Cost: $550 per year ($55 per month)
