Meet Westminster’s Class of 2025 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
Westminster proudly honors the Class of 2025 and celebrates the achievements of this year’s top graduates: Valedictorian Charlie Grinalds and Salutatorian Levi Ketterman.
Charlie Grinalds (Valedictorian), also graduating with distinction, held leadership roles in academics and athletics as Junior Class Vice President and captain of multiple sports teams. A talented golfer and musician, he has been recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction and will attend the University of Georgia Honors Program to study biology.
Levi Ketterman (Salutatorian), a distinguished scholar-athlete and member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club, excelled in football, basketball, and track—earning All-State honors. He also served as Junior Class President and received the Harvard Book Award. Levi will study business at the University of Georgia.

Georgia Tech Visits Westminster's Innovation Lab
Westminster is launching a bold new Innovation Lab to introduce students as young as four to hands-on, PhD-guided STEM education. Developed with input from top scientists and entrepreneurs, the lab aims to inspire invention, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship from elementary through high school. Recently, Georgia Tech’s Dr. Natalie Stingelin visited campus to tour the lab and speak with students, affirming the program’s potential to nurture future inventors before their 10th birthdays. The 2025–26 school year will mark the full launch of this groundbreaking initiative.

Westminster Alum Keith Hearon '05 Named National Academy of Inventors Fellow, Honored for Transformative Contributions to Science and Innovation
AUGUSTA, Ga. — On Dec. 10, the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) announced Westminster ‘05 alumnus Dr. Keith Hearon’s election to the 2024 class of NAI Fellows. The honor, one of the most prestigious accolades for inventors, recognizes his exceptional contributions to scientific innovation, economic development and societal welfare.

Westminster Schools of Augusta Gets Another GIAA Boys Soccer Title
Westminster Schools of Augusta boys soccer did it again.
Making it through double overtime and dueling penalty kicks, the Wildcats bested Holy Spirit Prep in Macon Saturday for the Georgia Independent Athletic Association Class 3A state championship. It was their 14th state title since 2000.

Mayor Johnson Speaks at Commencement
Garnett Johnson, the distinguished 85th Mayor of the City of Augusta, graced the commencement ceremony for the graduating class of 2024 as the keynote speaker. In his inspirational address, Mayor Johnson extolled the virtues of Westminster Schools of Augusta, emphasizing how their experiences within its nurturing environment have both safeguarded and readied them for the broader world. He eloquently conveyed that this protective "bubble" now serves as a formidable shield of armor, empowering them to lead with distinction, pursue their loftiest dreams, and remain steadfast in their commitment to glorifying Him in all their endeavors.
Wildcat fans packed the stands for Westminster’s Homecoming celebration, where alumni reconnected, new royalty was crowned, and the Wildcats clinched a thrilling win under the lights.
Westminster Schools of Augusta is enhancing its college counseling program after Director Mark Hampton attended the 2025 NACAC Conference, connecting with top universities like Harvard and Yale. He emphasized the growing importance of supplemental essays and plans to strengthen student support in this area to help Westminster students stand out in the admissions process.
Congratulations to our Wildcats! Westminster is proud to announce that Porter Grinalds and Frank Stafford have been recognized as Semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit® Scholarship Program.
WSA celebrates Perry Catherine Weaver and Abe Daniel for earning the Global Seal of Biliteracy (Functional Fluency) via strong Avant STAMP 4S results—5+ in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Highlights: Perry Catherine scored 8 in reading, and Abe scored 8 in listening.
Twelve Westminster students earned the College Board’s National School Recognition Award for academic excellence in 2024–2025, a distinction given to only about 15% of students nationwide.

Congratulations Westminster upper school for once again being named to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll! Westminster has been recognized as a PLATINUM member of the School Honor Roll, awarded by the college board. Platinum is the highest level of recognition.
With exceptional races from Tucker Wright and Brooks Johnson, Berry's men's cross country team earned a strong second-place finish at the Rhodes Cross Country Invitational, outpacing their conference rivals in the process.
