Westminster Schools of Augusta Student Eli Davis Transforms AP Art Project into Wearable Art

Senior Eli Davis, a student at Westminster Schools of Augusta, a leading private Christian college-preparatory school in Augusta, GA, has turned a classroom project into a creative outlet that is gaining attention across campus.

After winning Westminster’s 2026 Sidewalk Chalk Competition, Davis used his prize money to invest in an airbrush kit—expanding his artistic abilities beyond traditional mediums through the school’s AP Art and Fine Arts program.

Westminster Lower School Wins Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art Honors

Westminster Schools of Augusta is celebrating an impressive Lower School achievement, with four students earning top honors in the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art’s Agnes Markwalter Competition. Molly Akin (1st), Addy Moores (4th), Jacob Zevallos (5th), and Sharlotte Redfearn (5th) were recognized, and all participating Westminster students received Honorable Mention. This accomplishment highlights both individual excellence and the strength of Westminster’s Christ-centered Lower School program, where students are encouraged to develop their gifts and pursue excellence.

Westminster Senior named to UGA’s Foundation Fellowship Class of 2030

“Watch and be amazed,” five-year-old Porter Grinalds would say with a grin to his grandmother before trying a new skill. We have watched Porter grow from a fun-loving kindergarten student to a remarkably distinguished senior at Westminster Schools of Augusta. Over the years, Porter has excelled in the classroom, in athletics, and as a servant-leader. And now, we are delighted that the University of Georgia has recognized how incredible Porter is, too.

Students Partner with Augusta Nonprofits and Ministries

On March 26, 2026, Westminster Schools of Augusta Upper School students participated in a Day of Service during Spiritual Life Emphasis Week, partnering with various nonprofit organizations and ministries throughout the Augusta community. Students served others through a variety of hands-on projects, while some also assisted teachers and younger students in the Lower School. Through these experiences, students lived out Westminster’s commitment to service, faith, and community, returning with meaningful reflections on how serving others impacted their lives.
