More personal records!

The middle school track team traveled to Sandersville on Thursday for a meet at Brentwood. We do not have complete results, but we do know that Kaylee Charles Finch finished first in the 1600 and set a new PR, breaking 5:50 for the first time. (We will include more results in next week’s update.)

The varsity teams were at the Richard Goolsby Invitation at Lincoln County High School for a 12 team meet featuring mostly Class A and Class AA public school teams and Evans (Class AAAAAA). The boys team finished 4th trailing only Evans, Harlem, and Thomson High School. The boys had 8 PRs including Jack Hobbs (Shot Put), Brooks Johnson (3200M), Lucas Johnson (3200M), James King (400M, 800M), Adam Lippe (3200M), Blake Peacock (1600M), and William Westmoreland (1600M). The girls were led by Abigail Knight who finished 1st in the 1600M and 3rd in the 800M. Her 5:55 in the 1600M was a new PR. Kyla King (200M, 400M) and Kassidy Watson (400M) also had PRs.

This week, the Wildcats travel to Statesboro on Saturday for the 52nd Annual Statesboro Relays.
