Way to go, Wildcats!

The middle school track team was back at Augusta Prep on Thursday. Kaylee Charles Finch and Emma Jordan were near the top of the 1600 again this week finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Kaylee Charles set a new PR at 5:53. Ana Machado and Katherine Cristofanelli both had strong 4th place finishes in the Long Jump and 100 hurdles, respectively, in just their second track meet. For the boys, TJ Daniels posted an impressive 63 second 400M to take 6th.

The varsity teams were at the Shark Invitational in Bluffton, SC this week and took advantage of the perfect running conditions, setting 10 PRs and breaking 2 more school records. New PRs included Israel Ayettey (Long Jump – 20’ 2.5” new school record), Brantley Faulkner (Discus, Shot Put), Jack Hobbs (Discus – 97’1” new school record), Ronald Henley (400M), Lucas Johnson (1600M), James King (1600M), Adam Lippe (400M), Ava Martino (Discus), Kassidy Watson (Long Jump). The boys team finished 5th in the 12 team meet despite not entering anyone in 5 of the 18 events.

This week, the Wildcats compete in the Richard Goolsby Invitational at Lincoln County High School on Thursday, March 16.
