Varsity Football Advances to the Final Four

Way to go, Wildcats!

Westminster varsity football finished the regular season last week ranked #3 in the state which gave them a playoff matchup against Holy Spirit Prep (HSP) on Friday, 11/5/21. Though the team started slow, the Wildcats defeated HSP by a final score of 46-8 and advanced to the FINAL FOUR next week. The Wildcats were led on defense once again by leading tacklers Allen Grinalds Jr. and Whitt Tisdale. The defense also had two takeaways, a fumble recovery by Ryan Shiley and an interception by Paul Kassner. The offense only had 6 points after the first quarter, but then piled on another 40 before the game was complete. The touchdown club included Whitt Tisdale with 2 rushing and 1 receiving TD, Allen Grinalds Jr. with 1 rushing and 1 receiving TD, Carter Huss with a rushing touchdown and Henry Waller with 1 TD in the air. Huss and Tisdale were the leading rushers on the night and Levi Murphey finished the game with 155 yards passing and 3 touchdown passes. The Wildcats will compete next Friday 11/12/21 in the semi finals against Westwood School in Camilla GA at 6:30pm. Thanks again to all of the parents and fans that have supported the team this season.
