Way to go, Wildcats!

The Westminster Wildcat varsity football team beat Holy Spirit Prep 51-0 last week during Homecoming. Everyone on the team was able to contribute, but the defense was led by leading tacklers Allen Grinalds Jr. and Paul Kassner. Defense came up big once again, not only pitching a shutout game, but also collecting three huge interceptions on the night by Whitt Tisdale, Paul Kassner, and Rader Ketterman respectively. Tisdale and Kassner returned their interceptions for a "pick 6" touchdown. The offence was sparked by Tisdale, as he rushed for 3 touchdowns to add to his defensive touchdown. Carter Huss and Tisdale remain the leading rushers and Ryan Shiley was the night's leading receiver with three catches, one for a 33 yard touchdown. The touchdown pass was thrown by Levi Murphey. Rounding out the Wildcat scoring was Will Puckett who had one rushing touchdown, one field goal, and multiple extra points. The Wildcats will be off this Friday, but plan to be together at their football retreat in Tennessee getting ready for a few road trip games coming up in October. The team will play at home on October 22 and would love your support once again.
