Our Wildcats faced a tough Westwood opponent on Friday night.

Athletics News: Football | Westminster

The varsity football team welcomed the 20-21 state champion Westwood Wildcats to our field this past Friday.  The game took a turn for the worst when starting running back and defensive safety, Whitt Tisdale, went down with an injury early in the first quarter, however Westminster continued to fight.  After being down 20-0 in the first half, the Wildcats got on the scoreboard with a field goal from Will Puckett and then later scored again with a 40 yard touchdown pass from Levi Murphey to our leading receiver, Henry Waller.  Although the game ended in a 26-10 loss, the Wildcat defense played very well, outside of giving up a couple of big plays.  The defense was led by leading tacklers Allen Grinalds Jr. and Paul Kassner.  The varsity football team, currently 1-1 on the season, looks to get back on track this week as we welcome Holy Spirit Prep for Homecoming week.  Please come out and support the team this Friday at 7:30pm.
