Mobley Named MS & Varsity Swim Coach

Welcome, Coach B!

We are pleased to announce that Bethany Mobley has been named the new MS & Varsity Swim coach. Bethany, known as “Coach B,”  is married to Kelley Mobley and has two daughters, Mallory & Anna. Bethany is a native of Augusta, GA, but now resides in North Augusta. As a swimmer, she competed in multiple events at many levels for Fort Gordon Swim Team, Montclair Swim Team, and Westside High School. More recently, she competed in the Augusta Iron Man swim where she placed notably. She is the former Head Swim Coach for Augusta Christian Schools and Hammond Hills Swim Team. When not in the pool, Bethany grew up working around the pool for her family-owned business, Augusta Swim Supply. She has enjoyed attending swim meets amongst beginner swimmers and elite athletes throughout the Southeast since she was a child.
 
Aside from swimming and coaching, Bethany enjoys fossil hunting, boogie boarding, and reading. Coach B is a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard and a certified ASCA Coach. She previously swam for the Augusta Blue Tides Masters Swim Team and was training for some of her bucket list open water swims before Covid hit. Her favorite strokes are freestyle and butterfly.

Bethany believes that swimming is a critical life skill and is the sport for all ages! She believes that swimming is a way to discipline the whole being by simultaneously engaging the mind, body and spirit.  She claims Matthew 19:26  “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
