Students eligible for Georgia Scholar recognition are high school seniors who exhibit excellence in all phases of school life, in community activities, and in the home. Bravos to Claire Crowder, Kayla Kucela, Julia Andrews, and Mary Rushton Massey.

Through the Georgia Scholar program, the Georgia Department of Education identifies and honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life. These students have carried exemplary course loads during their four years of high school; performed excellently in all courses; successfully participated in interscholastic events at their schools and in their communities, and have assumed roles in extracurricular activities sponsored by their schools.
Mary Rushton Massey '21
Attending the University of GeorgiaMary Rushton is involved with Westminster theatre and participates in the spring musicals and fall plays. She has served as the service chair and student life chair on the student leadership team. She is a member of the Beta Club, National Honors Society, and International Thespian Society, and she serves as Vice President of the Honor Council.
Julia Andrews '21
Attending the University of GeorgiaJulia serves as Captain of the Westmisnter Varsity Soccer and Cross Country teams, and she is the President of Interact Club. She plays keyboard in her church's contemporary service and is also the President of her youth choir.
Claire Crowder '21
Attending Clemson UniverstiyClaire is a member of the Student Leadership Team, the President of the National Honor Society, and the Secretary of the Honor Council. She also serves as a Student Leader at First Presbyterian Church and serves as a Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team.
Kayala Kucela '21
Attending the University of TennesseeKayla serves as Captain for the Varsity Tennis Team and President of the Beta Club. She is a member of the National Honors Society and sings both at school and church. Kayla tutors elementary school students through Hope For Augusta, and she volunteers with special needs students in North Augusta.
