BASEBALL
The Middle School Baseball season continued with another week of "polar opposite" performances last week. On Monday we lost to EDS by the score of 17-2. We managed only 2 hits ---- a double by Wills Pollard and a single by Tyler Hornsby. On Thursday we bounced back in a big way by beating Mead Hall in Aiken by the score of 18-4. Levi Murphey was the winning pitcher, recording 4 strikeouts in his 3 innings on the mound. In addition, he had 2 hits, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
Overall, the team had 18 hits in the 4 innings played. Henry West had 3 hits and made a great catch in left field. Rod Anderson had an outstanding game by going 3 for 3 with 3 RBI, a triple, and a huge Home Run. He also played very well at shortstop and pitched the final inning for us. Ben Baker, Ryan Janovic, and Wills Pollard each had 2 hits. Luke Massey had a double and Eric Robinson knocked in a run with a solid single. Anthony Smith walked as a pinch hitter and scored a run. Within our conference, we now stand at a record of 2 Wins - 3 Losses.
SOCCER
The Varsity Soccer teams played Richmond Academy last week. The boys won 3-0 and the girls lost a close one 3-2. Our boys record is currently 6-1 and our girls are 4-3-1.
