"Auditioning for the school One-Act pushed me beyond my comfort level and limits. To my surprise, I have found great joy in performing!" Please continue to read Abby Wells' Q&A interview with Marketing Intern and junior, Randale Pete!

Q: What inspired you to pursue drama?
Abby: I became involved in Westminster's Fine Arts Department to challenge and push myself. Auditioning for the school One-Act pushed me beyond my comfort level and limits. To my surprise, I have found great joy in performing!
Q: What is your favorite quote? How has it impacted your life?
Abby: "We accept the love we think we deserve." -Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. This quote holds value to me because I believe that it helps explain the world around us. I love analyzing people and thinking through their actions. This quote gives me a better understanding of our broken world and of the ways that I can help!
Q: Are you involved in any community service activities?
Abby: Currently, I am a member of the National Art Honor Society. Every semester we work on a variety of service projects for the community.
Q: How does Westminster's 2020-21 theme, "Walk Humbly," apply to you?
Abby: This year's theme continually reminds me that the Lord has the power to give and take away. This year, I have learned that most things are out of your control, no matter how much you want to fix them. This humbling thought has allowed me to depend more on God and His grace.
Q: Favorite memory during your time at Westminster?
Abby: My favorite memory from my time at Westminster is this year's One-Act State competition. On this trip, I was able to get to know so many new people and hang out with the best cast!
Q: Do you have any advice for grade 9 students at Westminster Schools of Augusta?
Abby: Don't let yourself get overwhelmed. The workload at Westminster can seem like a lot if you don't learn to manage your time correctly.
Q: What is your favorite aspect of the Westminster community?
Abby: Westminster's Fine Arts Department is one of my favorite things at the school. Daily, I see the passion and hard work that teachers put into every lesson. They cultivate a safe place for students to express themselves.
