Cross County Makes a Great Showing in Madison, GA
Our Wildcats take home two second place team finishes!
This week’s schedule took the Wildcat Cross Country team to historic Madison, GA and the Rick Boulis Invitational where sixteen high schools and eleven middle schools stepped up to the starting line. The varsity Wildcats were again led by two freshmen, Adam Lippe and Abigail Knight who finished 6th and 5th in their respective races. In addition to Knight, the girls placed 5 more runners in the top 25 to finish second overall. Juniors Brad Joiner (10th), Eli Scott (13th), and Jacob Hanna (25th) all finished in the top 25 and, like the girls, led the boys to a second place finish. In the middle school race, Lucas Johnson finished ahead of 99 other runners, but just behind the state’s top-ranked middle school runner to finish second. Patrick Joiner followed in third and that dynamic duo led the middle school boys to a fifth place finish. The middle school girls were short-handed this week with only five competitors including two fifth grade girls, but the girls ran tough and were again led by small but mighty Molly Bramhall who finished 11th.
