Rain is the big news of the day!

Due to all of the inclement weather, our spring seasons have gotten off to a slow start.  Several games have already been cancelled and some have been rescheduled. Remember to check the online calendar for the most up-to-date dates and times for all athletic contests.

Baseball

On Thursday, our Middle School Wildcats captured their first win on the season with a 5-2 victory over the Augusta Eagles. Every team member at the game had an opportunity to play. Thomas Freeman had the lone hit of the day – a double. Charlie Grinalds, Evan Landrum, and Thomas Freeman each threw 2 innings apiece and Charlie received the Win. Evan struck out 4 while Thomas fanned 6 batters.

Soccer

Boys Varsity Soccer won their season-opener 4-0 over Augusta Christian last Thursday.   Both teams travel today to begin region play at Young Americans Christian.

BOOSTER CLUB

A Family Membership is only $185 for the entire year and among other benefits, provides free admission to all regular-season home athletic contests.  Other membership levels are also available.  It is not too late to join!  Thanks to the efforts of the Booster Club over the past several years, numerous capital improvements have been made.  Don’t miss the opportunity to join this loyal and hard-working group of parents, grandparents, and friends of Westminster.
