New Middle School Cross Country Coach Announced

Welcome, Coach Romero!

The Westminster athletic department would like to welcome Coach Romero as she takes over as the new middle school cross country coach next fall.  We want to thank Mrs. Lutz for all of her hard work as head coach the past few years and for the foundation she helped build.  We are excited that Mrs. Lutz will still be a part of the MS cross country program, as an assistant coach, in years to come.  Not new to Westminster or the cross country/track program, Jenn Romero is a teacher at Westminster Schools of Augusta in the lower school this year and has also helped coach cross country and track this past season. She is excited about becoming the head coach for Westminster Middle School cross country in the fall of 2020. Running has been a part of her life for the past twenty years in one way or another and she has coached and assisted in cross country and track and field for the past few years at other schools. She loves setting attainable goals for her team and pushing them to achieve excellence through intense training and personal strength. She also believes that excellence requires modeling Christ on and off the course. Hebrews 12:1b is her key verse for running, which states, "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us". She is excited to partner with student-athletes, parents, and other coaches in building a successful cross country season and continuing to cultivate the Westminster team culture.
