Congratulations to grade 6 student Rob Tracy for being our 2020 GeoBee school champion.

On Thursday, Jan. 16 Westminster hosted a grade 6 through grade 8 Geography Bee.

The 11 semi-finalists:

Grade 6: Jack Hobbs, Rob Tracy

Grade 7: Brett Arrington, Julia Berman, Charles Grinalds, Patrick Joiner, Benjamin Scott

Grade 8: Jacob Gamlin, Lilly Bryan, Anne Hensley Young, Mack Whitcomb

It was a hard-fought match that came down to a battery of three questions that each of the three finalists had to answer correctly.

3rd Place: Lilly Bryan

2nd Place: Brett Arrington

1st Place: Rob Tracy

Congratulations to grade 6 student Rob Tracy for being our 2020 GeoBee school champion. As the school champion, Rob will now take an online qualifying test. The top 100 ranked students in each state will then qualify to represent their schools at the State GeoBee competition on March 27.
