Though the middle school cross country season ended over 2 months ago, several members of the middle school boys team continued competing in post-season events through USATF Junior Olympics.

Lucas Johnson (6th), Patrick Joiner (7th), and Adam Lippe (8th) each advanced from the state meet to the regional meet in Tallahassee, FL on November 23. This meet was comprised of the top runners from GA, SC, and FL. Lucas and Adam both qualified for the national championship meet held on December 14 in Madison, WI, a meet that included more than 3000 competitors ages 8-18 from all over the country. Though neither ran their best time in the frigid WI weather, the future looks bright for Westminster Cross Country as these three are just a few of a core group of talented boys and girls moving through the middle school ranks and soon to join a strong varsity team.
