Boys Varsity Basketball Off to a Good Start!

Our Wildcats took the court this past weekend in fine fashion!

This past weekend with the Boys Varsity players was a great start to the 2019-20 season.  The team traveled to play Milledgeville Prep and Lake Oconee Academy.  Coach Mark Tebbs was proud of the players and the way they handled themselves on and off the court.  It was a great time of basketball and team bonding.  The players represented Westminster and their families well! Coach Tebbs said, "I know that I am truly blessed to be their coach and look forward to an exciting season ahead."

The team theme for the season is based on 2 Peter 1:10.  In these verses, the Apostle Peter speaks about 8 qualities young men should possess to help them be the man God wants them to be.  Coach Tebbs is encouraging players and their families to pray that the team might strive to be the basketball team God would have them to be. Each week, they will speak to this portion of scripture with hopes it will bring them closer to each other and that God's Word will come alive in their hearts.
