We are one win closer to the playoffs!

Athletics News: Football | Westminster

The varsity football team was on the road against Windsor Academy this past Friday and came away with a huge region win.  The final score was 42-6, but many scoring opportunities for the opposition were taken away by the Wildcats defense.  The defense was led by Edmonds, Fuller, Heaton, and Lindman.  Heaton also had a fumble recovery on the night and helped the offensive line along with Edmonds, Banks, and Bayliss make the way for the rushing attack.  Leading rushers on the night were once again Baker and Jackson who combined for almost 200 yards.   Usually known for his passing, Thomas Saul came up with 104 yards rushing on the night.  The receiving core was comprised of Fuller and Carter who both played well on both sides of the ball.  Carter also was perfect in the kicking game scoring all PAT's and both field goals along with an onside kick recovery.  The Wildcast remain undefeated in region and will play one more home region game on November 8, but before that will play a non-region contest this Friday at home.
