Athletics News: Football | Westminster

The varsity football team played a big region game on the road this past Friday against Dominion Christian School.  After a 14-14 first quarter, the Wildcats put together a 21-0 second quarter to take the lead at the half.  The team never let up and the final score was 54-28.  The defense was strong once again led by leading tacklers Grant Fuller, Jake Heaton, and JD Kassner.  The offense was sparked by Thomas Saul, who played his best game of the season scoring 4 touchdowns (2 passing / 2 rushing).  Saul passed for 194 yards finding Grant Fuller many key times for big first downs and touchdowns.  Fuller ended with 125 yards receiving and 2 TD's.  The rushing attack was once again led by the dynamic duo of Joseph Jackson (88 yards) and Jack Baker (125 yards), both scoring 2 TD's a piece.  The Wildcats are back at it again this Friday night as they travel to Windsor Academy.
