Westminster varsity football team remains undefeated in region play after beating Twiggs Academy 63-18 this past Friday. The defense was stellar once again, led by Jake Heaton, Ben Bayliss, and Sam Carter. Bayliss had a fumble recovery and plenty of tackles, but it was Caleb Lindman with the play of the game with his interception. After a long drive by Twiggs and only yards away from their endzone, Lindman made a shoestring interception two yards deep and returned it for a 102-yard "pick-six." The offense was led by Thomas Saul, Grant Fuller, Joseph Jackson, Jack Baker, and JD Kassner. Baker was the leading rusher and had 2 TD's, but Jackson (2 TD's) and Kassner (1 TD) contributed as well. Jackson also had a punt return for a touchdown. The leading receiver on the night was Kassner with help from Sam Carter, who caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Grant Fuller.
