Varsity Track Runs at the Region Meet

Congratulations to Region Champion, Jordan Carlie, and our Varsity Track teams!

The Girl's Varsity Track and Field team finished third in the GISA Region 4AAA Tournament last Thursday at Augusta Prep. We had several of our ladies who finished 2nd/3rd place in their individual events. Our Girls 4x100 team (McKayla Ayettey, Genevieve Waller, Lauren Eaddy, and Hannah Eaddy),100m (Hannah Eaddy), 200m (Genevieve Waller and Hannah Eaddy), Long jump (Hannah Eaddy), Shot put (McKayla Ayettey), and Discus (Chelsey Hawkins). All five Lady Wildcats qualified to participate in the GISA AAA State Track Meet next Thursday- Saturday starting April 25 in Albany, GA. We wish them the best!

Congratulations to Jordan Carlie from the Boys Varsity Track and Field Team for a spectacular performance today at the Region Championships. Jordan is the GISA Region 4AAA champion in 100m and 200m events. Jordan dominated the field with run times in the 100m dash (10.9 seconds) and 200m dash (22.1 seconds) Our Boys also qualified for the State Meet in the 4x100 relay (Jack Baker, Chris Hart, Joe Jackson, and Jordan Carlie).

Our track and field teams now look ahead to the GISA State Track Meet which will be April 25-27 in Albany, GA.  Congratulations and good luck to both of our teams!!
