Many Swimmers Qualify for State!

The Loganville Christian Academy Meet was a great meet for state qualifiers!

Everyone knows the early bird gets the worm. This past Saturday, the WSA swim team proved it yet again.  After a 5:00 am departure from WSA, 20 swimmers earned 25 new (not previously held) state qualifying times.  Some of the times came from veteran team members who were brave enough to try new events.  Some of those times came from new team members using the season to discover what was needed to get the job done and then gutting it out at this last chance meet to earn those times. We had some heart-breakingly close attempts that will only encourage us to work through the off season and start next year even stronger.  Qualifying times were our focus for this meet, but despite our small numbers we placed very well.  Out of ten teams: our 4 JV Women placed 4th, our 6 JV Men Placed 3rd, our 2 Varsity Women placed 4th, and our 8 Varsity Boys placed 2nd.  We have to keep the momentum going because this Saturday is the State Championship meet at GA Tech.  Go Wildcats!
