Westminster Upper School science teacher published in AACT's online journal, Chemical Solutions!

Earlier this week the AACT (American Association of Chemistry Teachers) online journal, Chemical Solutions, published an article written by Westminster Upper School science teacher, Adam Kraft, and retired science teacher, Susan Smith. The article, entitled Chemistry of Lightsticks: Determination of Activation Energy, a Guided Inquiry Approach, includes the lesson plan and supplemental materials that were provided in Mr. Kraft and Mrs. Smith’s presentation during the GISA Fall Conference on November 6, 2017. The article and presentation utilized Westminster’s LabQuest2’s, which were purchased through Westminster’s Bridge Campaign. The investigation was piloted by the honors chemistry class from the 2016-2017 school year as a lab activity designed for first-year chemistry students. Congratulations to Mr. Kraft and Mrs. Smith!
