Varsity Track Coach Announced

Cory Hickson has been named Head Coach for the Varsity Track team.

We are excited to announce that Cory Hickson or Coach Cory as he is known among many Westminster athletes and families will become the head coach for the Varsity Track & Field team for the 2018-2019 season. Coach Cory has been the Middle School Track & Field head coach for the past three seasons; leading the Wildcats to win two Regional Championships and coaching multiple athletes to success in breaking and setting new Middle School records. While taking many of our athlete's talent to the next level, he consistently unveils undiscovered capabilities in others. He has also given the opportunity to many student athletes the feeling of what it means to be a part of a team. Coach Cory's commitment to the Westminster family and Athletic department extends throughout the course of the academic year and beyond in various roles.

Coach Cory recently stated, "the opportunity of head coach and all of the other opportunities that have been extended to me here at Westminster Schools of Augusta are blessings. I have been enabled to pursue my passion of coaching following my retirement from the U.S. Army. I have also been inspired to continue in my dream of completing an M.A. in Education, and offer care & support that is immeasurable. That's God's work!"

Coach Cory will continue to have his hand in Middle School track and field. We are currently looking for another coach that can devote time to the Middle School program.
