KINDER CUBS
Kinder Cubs is an extended-session enrichment program for Westminster kindergarten students. The specially tailored afternoon program includes oral discussion, hands-on activities, and creative thinking in science, social studies, and literature.
Kinder Cubs meets each school day, noon - 2:00 pm. It is not a drop-in program, but rather a sequential academic enrichment class. Students who are accepted into the program are expected to attend Kinder Cubs each day. Kinder Cubs is not required for promotion to first grade.
PROCEDURES FOR ADMISSION TO KINDER CUBS

The parents of each student accepted into the Kindergarten program will receive a letter inquiring whether they would like their child to be considered for admission to Kinder Cubs.

Admission to Kinder Cubs is based on a) admission without reservation into Westminster’s Kindergarten program, b) score on the Gesell Developmental Inventory, and c) when applicable, performance at a previous school with a supporting teacher recommendation.

Once a student is accepted into the Kinder Cubs program, a Kinder Cubs contract must be completed and submitted by the announced deadline to secure a place in the program.

Qualified students are placed in the program on a first-come, first-served basis. Only 20 students are permitted in the program and subsequent students are placed on a waiting list.
