The Westminster Schools of Augusta provide an exceptional college preparatory education in a Christian setting to students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our philosophy of education is founded on a Christian world view that penetrates our curriculum, our teaching methods, and our understanding of how knowledge and truth intersect.
Westminster Schools of Augusta consist of the Day School, Middle School, and Preparatory School. The Middle School and the Preparatory School are collectively referred to as the Upper School. Each school is committed to excellence in preparing students educationally, socially, and spiritually.
Day School: The Day School offers educational experiences that provide a solid foundation in basic content areas, including Open Court reading series, the Harcourt, Brace & Jovanovich language series, the ABEKA math series, "Windows on Science", the Harcourt social
studies series, the Steck-Vaughn spelling series, and co-curricular classes in music, library, art, and physical education.
Middle School: The transition from the Day School to the
Preparatory School offers many opportunities to develop personal responsibility. Students in 6th -8th grade courses are coached by teachers to become increasingly independent in organizational and learning strategies. Our goal is to develop in each student a solid academic foundation built on mastery of basic skills.
Preparatory School: A traditional college preparatory curriculum, offered within the context of a nurturing environment, is designed to challenge and stretch our students intellectually. The development of a Christian world view is encouraged through a Bible curriculum that fosters personal application of truth as discerned from Scripture.
