Westminster Parents’ Club

Welcome to the Westminster Parents’ Club (WPC) corner of the Westminster Schools of Augusta Website!  Here you will learn about the WPC, its programs, events, and ways you can get involved.  While the general information will be posted all year, updates relating to upcoming events and programs will appear at appropriate times. 

 As a service organization, the Westminster Parents’ Club (WPC) exists to promote the Westminster family by integrating new families, recognizing and appreciating Westminster faculty and staff, improving the building and grounds, and purchasing items that enhance the curriculum and classroom activities.  We strive to “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:7).  The WPC works behind the scenes in many ways; but we are also responsible for hosting many special events throughout the year, facilitating Food for the Hungry, and providing parent coordinators for each grade level.

As a parent of a Westminster student, you are automatically a member of the Parents’ Club.  There are no dues or registration forms.  The WPC has an Executive Council comprised of volunteer parents who work for you and are always eager to hear your comments and suggestions. There is a place for everyone who wishes to volunteer their time, a lot or a little, to help Westminster be a better school.

The WPC supports the school by giving of our time at special WPC sponsored events.  A Parents’ Club Calendar can be found on this webpage.  We also raise funds which allow us to give specific items such as Smartboards as gifts to the school.  This year the Lord has blessed us with the opportunity to have two new fund raising events!  In November, we will host a road race and in April, a wonderful dinner/auction will be tied to the Spring Festival.    We will need lots of help, so please prayerfully consider where you might “plug in” to these great activities.  The Parents’ Club also benefits from your tax deductible donations.

The Parents’ Club raises all of its own financial support and there are many ways you can help.  What we call “Free Money” is a grouping of retailers and manufacturers who offer financial support to us as we use their products in our daily lives.  Last year the Parents’ Club received almost $6,000 from these companies.  These companies include grocery stores, clothing stores and general retail.  A complete list is on this website under the Parents’ Club tab.  Thank you for making the effort to make Westminster the beneficiary of your purchases.
