Congratulations to the Westminster Golf Team!
The Westminster golf team, comprised of Thomas Mehrhof, Rodney
Wendt, Patrick Moseley, Chandler Norris and Akonwi Ngoh, took
home the Region Championship. Thomas Mehrhof won the All-Region
Selection as well.
2010 Varsity Tennis
Results
The Westminster Schools of Augusta girls and boys Varsity Tennis
Teams won the region runner-up designation for the 2010 season.
Rebecca Shine won the Girls Singles Region Championship for the
fourth consecutive year before securing her third Championship
at the State level. She will attend the University of
Louisville on a Tennis scholarship in the fall. Wes Maddox also
advanced to the State Tournament after placing third in the
region.
The Westminster girls Tennis Team went to the State Tennis
Tournament in Macon on April 19 as did Wesley Maddox. He
represented the boys team as a third seed in the boys singles at
State. Rebecca Shine was the number one seed for girls singles
with Maggie Snyder securing the number three seed position. The
doubles teams of Charlotte Thornton - Sarah Walters and Sabrina
Rush – Hannah Ardrey represented the number three and four seeds
respectively. Hannah Ardrey represented the number three and
four seeds respectively.
Cheerleading
The
Westminster Competition Cheerleaders placed second at the Briarwood
Cheerfest and Bulloch Academy Competition. They will compete November
21, at FPD in Macon for a State title.

the 2009 Region 1AAA Boys Soccer Coach of the Year
2009 All-Region
and All-State Boys Soccer Awards
After another outstanding season, the Westminster Varsity Soccer team
received several All-Region and All-State Awards. Michael Bone, Josh
Coleman, Aaron Harris, Robert MacDonell and Will McCartney were all
named to the All-Region Soccer Team. Michael Bone, Aaron Harris, and
Will McCartney were also named to the All-State Soccer Team awarded to
the top 20 players in the state. The boys team won their 13th region
title and finished the regular season ranked #1 in the GISA and #14 by
the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in Region 4.
